Lawyers for Cilia Flores asked the court to move her from jail to house arrest in New York on health grounds.
On September 9, 2026 counsel for Cilia Flores filed an application for pretrial release, proposing a private residence in New York with round-the-clock armed guards, an electronic monitor, restricted visits, monitored calls and surrender of her passport, all paid by the defendant.
The filing describes chest pain, arrhythmia, breathing difficulty and a weight loss of more than 24 pounds since January, and a health episode on July 29, 2026 that her lawyers say may have been a mild heart attack, not medically confirmed.
The request is about detention conditions only. It does not touch the charges, and nothing in it establishes guilt or innocence.
